FifthInsights / Technical debt remediation
Technical debt remediation that restores delivery speed
Technical debt becomes expensive when it makes ordinary work unpredictable. We help teams convert a frustrating, ever-growing problem list into a sequence of improvements tied to delivery, reliability and risk.

Move with evidence, not optimism.
Not every old file needs attention. We identify the debt affecting customer experience, engineer throughput, security posture or operational cost, then make a realistic plan around active product commitments.
Your roadmap gets room to breathe. Teams can ship features with fewer surprises, understand the trade-offs they are making, and keep debt from returning as an invisible tax.

04 / FAQ
How do you prioritise technical debt?
We prioritise by impact: risks to customers and data, recurring incidents, work that blocks planned features, and complexity that consumes disproportionate engineering time. Age alone is not a priority signal.
Should we pause product development to fix debt?
Sometimes a short stabilisation period is the fastest path forward, but an all-or-nothing pause is rarely necessary. We recommend the smallest intervention that changes the delivery trajectory.
